Beamish Living Museum chronicles the history of North East England. The houses, shops and other buildings are constructed and fitted out in the style of old. The museum covers the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian periods, and staff and volunteers help bring the periods to life as they wear the costumes of the time and play the roles of characters of the era. Entering this museum is like going back in time.
